How the heck do you price acrylic full sets with product costs going up every month?! 😭

Hey everyone, I need some serious business advice. My monomer and acrylic powder costs have gone up twice already this year, and don't even get me started on the price of disposable files and good prep dehydrators. I feel like I'm working just to pay off my supply bills. How are y'all calculating your full set prices right now? What is your actual product cost per set, what markup formula do you use, and how often are you changing your menu pricing to keep up? Help a sister out!

Omgggg i feel this so much babe, it is getting ridiculous out here!! standard monomer is costing a literal arm and a leg now lol! What completely saved my bank account was breaking my menu into tiers! I stopped doing a flat rate for "full sets" and started charging separate for length and shape upgrades! Long coffin or stiletto extensions automatically add $20 to my base price because they use twice as much powder!! It keeps my clients happy because the short-nail besties get a fair price, and the baddie-length clients pay for what they actually use!

My raw cost per set is $6.50. Base price is $75 for a short, single-color set. Takes 90 minutes. If liquid and powder prices go up by 10%, that only adds about 65 cents to my cost per service. Don't panic-raise your base prices by $20 over a minor supply hike or you'll scare away your regulars. Just stop giving away free replacement files and start charging for removals.
