A purple badge marks unread messages. Opening a conversation drops you into a live chat with that pro — send a message and they’re notified right away.

Read the thread, then type your reply
Your own messages show on the right, with a checkmark once the pro has read them. Attach a photo with the paperclip if you need to show something.
